To take the photos needed for my magazine pages I used a Nikon camera which took high quality pictures. I also learnt from using it in my preliminary task new functions such as sports mode which takes fast moving pictures. Another thing I learnt from using the Nikon camera is how to take professional pictures from different angles and shots. However, if the images taken were too dark it would be very hard to edit in Adobe Photoshop. To make the time table for my coursework’s deadlines I used Microsoft excel, it was really easy to navigate through and helped me finish my work before the deadlines. For my audience research I used search engines such as Google and Yahoo. I used these search engines to find magazines aimed at my target audience. I also did my existing product analysis using magazines such as Kerrang and Q. To upload my picture on Blogger I used Google docs.
I used an Apple iMac to help me construct my magazine because it’s a high performance computer. The iMac was much faster than Windows which was very beneficial whilst doing my work; The IMac also has a lot of features that Windows doesn’t. The display much bigger and I could see the images which I had taken in better quality which helped me see the faults and improve them in Adobe Photoshop. I also learnt that for editing picture and constructing the magazine pages Photoshop was ideal due to the variety of features, for example how to change the lip colour of the model, and easy to use.
Since I started constructing my product I learnt that programmes such as Prezi are very good for making presentations much easier to make and is more creative and amusing it also allows the users to insert videos in the presentation which makes it more enjoyable. I also use Blogger to show my work online and is where I keep the digital copies of my work.
